This park is not hard to find if one crosses Rio Piura, which is dry, by the way. Piura is so dry I can’t help wondering how people live here without adequate water. But Lima is the same; it is well known that it hardly rains in Lima.

When I see a sunflower, I remember summer. And this flower just reminded me that while it is winter in my home city, it is summer in this part of the world.

During the evening, I liked to walk back and forth on this pedestrian bridge. It was dark, but it felt safe.
